KIT

MID BUILD KIT

The Mid Build Kit comes exactly as the name implies. Kind of like a "furniture in the raw" store, all of the cab assembly has been completed in our shop, but it still needs some finishing touches to be complete. This will include how you choose to finish the exterior. You can Raptor line it, sheath it in aluminum, paint it or whatever you prefer. We will provide you with engineered drawings for the frame. Your options for the frame are to build it yourself, enlist the aid of a buddy with a welder and the necessary skills, or hire your local weld shop, which will save you hundreds of dollars in shipping costs. If those options are unavailable to you, we can build the frame. The frame will come fully welded and either Raptor lined or powder coated (is this right?). The last option will increase your shipping costs. To make the build easier, we have a series of videos that will walk you through each step. Now your cab is complete and ready to attach to your frame. Just bolt on your Timbren suspension (sold via a third party due to legal regulations), add your own tires/wheels, snap together the wiring harness, and pin in the tongue. Easy peasy and you're ready to hit the road.

The Mid Build Kit is far more than just a "materials package". When the kit is shipped, any work requiring measuring or cutting, is already done at our shop. The cab arrives fully assembled and the builder's job is primarily to add the finishing touches. The Mid Build Kit comes exactly as the name implies. Kind of like a "Furniture In The Raw" store, all of the cab assembly has been completed in our shop.

You will choose how you want to finish the exterior of the cab. You can Raptor line it, sheath it in aluminum, or paint it, whatever you prefer. We will provide you with engineered drawings  for the frame. Your options for the frame are to either build it yourself, enlist the aid of a buddy with a welder and the necessary skills, or hire your local weld shop, which will save you hundreds of dollars in shipping costs. If these options are unavailable to you, we can build the frame. The frame will come fully welded and either Raptor lined or powder coated (is this right?). The last option will increase your shipping costs. To make the build easier, we have a series of videos that will walk you through each step. Now your cab is complete and ready to attach  to your frame. Just bolt on your Timbren suspension (sold via a third party for legal regulations) , add your own tires and wheels, snap together the wiring harness, and pin in the tongue. Easy peasy and you are ready to hit the road.

******add a line about sanding and epoxy?******attaching compression locks?should we add something about interior finish?

Open Range kits include all of the parts (or plans in the case of the frame) necessary to build a complete trailer, with the exception of the suspension, tires and wheels. The builder  must provide their own  suspension (links provided) tires and wheels. No matter which kit is built, attaching the suspension, fenders, and cab to your frame, along with any required wiring, easily meets the requirements of a kit build.

We do not do the small trimming and adjusting jobs, which the average builder can do just as well as we can. Leaving this work to the builder helps keep our labor costs to a minimum and the cost of the kits at a reasonable level. The builder is spared not only the necessity of buying expensive tools, but also the tedious and often frustrating job of shopping piecemeal for materials and parts, and the waste of having to purchase larger quantities  than actually required.

We are so confident  in the quality of our builds that every cab comes with a lifetime warranty against any kind of rot or structural failures due to faulty materials or workmanship. ***how can we offer this when we don't have control over something that they may do while attaching the exterior?****

The Frame:

Like with the kits, the frame also allows for you to have several options. We will provide you with engineered drawings for the trailer frame. You can construct the trailer yourself, you can enlist the help of a buddy with a welder and the necessary skills, or you can go through your local weld shop, these options can save you hundreds of dollars in shipping costs. If those options are unavailable to you, we can build the frame. The frame will come fully welded and either Raptor lined or powder coated (is powder coating really an option?). This last option will increase the shipping price (and delivery time?).

During the manufacturing and shipping time for your kit, the frame could also have been constructed. By the time your kit arrives your frame would be finished.

ALREADY FULLY assembled (you choose either partially or 95% finished). Using our engineered drawings the trailer frames can be made locally by you, your buddy who has a welder and the necessary skills, or a local welding shop which can save you hundreds of dollars on both labor and shipping costs. If you prefer, we'll build the frame which will come fully welded and either Raptor Lined or  powder coated, but shipping will be a little higher.  Finally. if you're not comfortable going solo or just work better in a group setting we also hold build workshops in different cities throughout the year

(build calendar coming soon).
